Plot[]

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Vincent talks Tori through an escape plan. She breaks free by beasting out as Windsor Tower explodes. Catherine, Tess and Gabe arrive on the scene. Cat is upset but refuses to believe Vincent is dead. After being talked down, she goes home to take a shower but she will be back.

Wilkes calls Reynolds to confirm “both targets were eliminated.” He refuses to give “proof of murder” and demands immediate payment.

Catherine arrives at her apartment. Cat’s first reaction is to run to Vincent's arms and tell him how happy she to see him alive. The sweet moment lasts for a few seconds until she realizes Vincent brought an unconscious Tori along. Vincent implies he had nowhere else to go.

Vincent explains how Tori made him stronger, faster and more powerful. He for bringing Tori to Catherine’s apartment and sort of apologizes for kissing her too. Cat says their issues go beyond the kiss. Cat isn’t giving the unmentionable “incident” more importance than it has. It was just the last drop that made her realize she was seeing what she wanted to see in Vincent rather than the reality of his situation.

Vincent is consumed by a need for revenge against Reynolds. He point-blank says he “is going to kill him”. Catherine explains that Vincent can’t kill Reynolds because he is a “human being” not a beast and if he kills him he would “lose his humanity”. Catherine gives Vincent an ultimatum. If he kills Reynolds there is no future for them. Vincent asks if there is still the possibility of them being together and Cat says she wants there to be. Cat promises to help Vincent get justice without killing Reynolds. Tori comes to. Vincent gives her a glass of water and she complains about it not being vodka. Vincent tells her Catherine will help them get Reynolds. Tori is skeptical, and jealous.

Tess and Catherine go to Gabe’s to come up with a plan to bring Reynolds to justice. Gabe’s plan is to find a beast body before it is cremated. Then send the evidence to Reynolds and threaten to expose him. However, they need to make him think someone with actual information is blackmailing him. Someone like Wilkes. But finding a professional is not that easy, so Cat suggests they get Vincent to track him. Later, they gather the whole crew to explain the plan. JT and Tess are on “body stealing duty”. But Vincent can’t track Wilkes, so it has to be Tori and Vincent has to teach her.

Reynolds gets an email with a blackmailing note. Meanwhile Tess and JT go to the morgue to browsing cadavers. They find Zach and his “Twisted” neck. JT has been texting Tess and she hasn’t been answering. Tess tells JT that their kiss was a one-time event.

Meanwhile, Catherine and Gabe go to the FBI to rattle Reynolds. Gabe repeats the entire blackmailing plan and tells Bob he should suspect Wilkes. Meanwhile, Cat uses some menthol and fake cries to get some sympathy from Reynolds.

Tori and Vincent find Wilkes. She kills Wilkes. Vincent yells at her. Later, Vincent tells Catherine that Tori couldn’t control herself. Cat is angry with Tori. Vincent tries to keep peace and come up with a solution. Vincent and Tori leave. Tori badmouths Cat and tells Vincent to just give in to his beast nature. Tori gets to Vincent. She tells him to “embrace who he really is” and stop trying to fit a mold of a past he can’t remember. Then she offers to help him kill Reynolds.

Back at the Gentlemen’s Club, Catherine sits at the bar defeated. She tells Tess maybe her love for Vincent blinded her and it is time to stop fighting and trying to change him. Gabe and JT have a new plan. They have Wilkes’s phone so they will keep up the blackmailing ruse. Then, Gabe will go see Reynolds himself and tell him he was working with Wilkes. Cat thinks it is too risky. Gabe claims to want “justice” for Vincent and atonement for his past sins. Reynolds gets the blackmailing text message and takes the bait.

Reynolds meets up with his daughter and tells Catherine that he is leaving and he just wanted to make sure she will be all right. Gabe arrives at the rendezvous point. Bob verifies Zach is in the trunk. Gabe blackmails Reynolds, who confesses and Cat records it with a remote mic. Bob takes Gabe’s car and drives away - leaving Gabe stranded with a bomb-rigged car. Catherine comes out of hiding and arrests Reynolds. He explains that he wanted to eliminate all beasts because he helped create them. He wanted to “rectify his mistakes”.

After the crash, Vincent yanks Reynolds out of the car, beats him up and pins him to the wall. Catherine gets out of the car and points a gun at Vincent. Cat begs him to stop and tries to appeal to his human nature. Vincent attacks Reynolds again. Cat shoots him. Vincent reverts to human. He looks shocked and betrayed after realizing what happened and runs away. Catherine re-arrests her dad. In jail, Reynolds tells Cat he will confess to everything so he can keep her safe and above suspicion. After talking to Bob, she breaks down and Gabe comforts her.

The episode ends with Vincent bleeding out in his houseboat and Tori walking in on him. Catherine goes up to her roof and cries.

Quotes[]

Wilkes: Both the targets have been eliminated.
Reynolds: Do you have proof?
Wilkes: Proof? They were vaporized. The proof is telling you that the job is done.
Reynolds: You said that last time, and it wasn't done.
Wilkes: Yeah, well, because last time, you gave me the wrong intel on Vincent. Okay? Let's just say that this time, I overcorrected. Now pay me, or the next place I rig is gonna be yours.
