Summary[]
VINCENT AND CAT CONSIDER LIFE ON THE RUN – When Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Cat (Kristin Kreuk) discover they lost control of their secret, they finally admit it might be time for life on the run. Vincent realizes he must face his past, while Cat worries about how much they have to lose.
Plot[]
At Dimia’s Cuisine: Modern Mexican, Vincent looks over his new fake ID. At Il Cantuccio, Tess informs Catherine that Lars Ecklund, one of Braxton’s main contracts, bought Muirfield. Cat and Vincent track down Ecklund hoping to find the beast so they can bring it to DHS in exchange for immunity. Vincent and Cat arrive to find that the beast has already killed Ecklund. Inside Ecklund’s apartment, Catherine, Vincent and Tess find a secure cell phone. Cat discovers that Lars called Dr. Albert Guarrus, the head of a medical technology company, a few times after Braxton was killed. After Tess leaves, Cat texts Garuss from Lars’ phone. Garuss tells “Lars” where and when to meet. At Catherine’s apartment, JT lets it slip to Heather that Vincent and Cat are thinking about running away. At the Pier Side Market, Vincent and Cat approach Garrus. Albert knows a beast is hunting him so he took precautions in the form of a portable ‘Beast detector,’ which also emits an ultrasonic sound only beasts can hear. The Beast whistle incapacitates Vincent, giving Garrus the chance to escape. JT figures that they don’t need Garrus. JT and Vincent break into the lab. JT realizes that Garrus isn’t just replicating Muirfield, but enhancing it. Garrus jumps them. Vincent overpowers Garrus and brings him to the Gentlemen’s Club. Garrus wakes up in the vault with Dr. Keller checking for concussions. Vincent, Cat, Tess, and JT convince Garrus to trust them. Over at the hospital, Heather finds Kyle and tells him she wants to go out to dinner. Kyle leaves to get his stuff. Heather overhears two nurses talking about a deceased couple in a house fire. Fearing the worst, Heather takes the file and leaves before Kyle can come back. Back at the Gentlemen’s Club, Garrus explains that Braxton knew about Muirfield from his NSA days. Braxton had a client who wanted a Beast. Braxton turned to Ecklund and Gurrus. Braxton asked Ecklund to get Muirfield and Garrus improved the formula. The client wanted a super-beast. The super-beast that Garrus made now runs wild killing people. The client made a deal with the State Department in exchange for classified information, but something went wrong and the deal was off. Garrus and the client let Braxton take the blame which leads to the whole beast bounty and Hill’s DHS meltdown. After planting evidence at the lab, Vincent wants to use Garrus as beast bait. After getting a text from an unknown sender, Garrus decides to leave. He doesn’t go far because the beast kills him. To make it even worse, Tess finds out that immunity is off the table for Vincent, so there is nothing more to do. The only option is running. Thanks to Heather - who stole the files of a recently deceased couple from the hospital - and JT - who owns a passport forging press - Vincent and Cat have new identities. Unfortunately, Kyle ratted to Special Agent Olivia Dylan. So DHS intercepts Vincent and Cat the airport and arrest them. |
