Plot[]

SPOILERS AHEAD!

A beast breaks into Vincent’s houseboat searching for Vincent but no one is there.

Cat gets ready for her pre-10-year-reunion party. As she decorates her apartment she talks on the phone with Gabe. Cat enters her bedroom and finds Vincent behind the curtain because he needed to see her and he was hoping they could hang out to try to get back more memories. Cat informs him that it is girl’s night, no beasts allowed, and kicks him out.

Once the girls arrive they revel Cat always had a thing for trying to redeem her bad boyfriends. They ask her if she has anyone currently and she remains quiet. Next we see, JT and Vincent are sitting on their couch watching sports and passing snacks back and forth.

All of Cat’s friends leave, except for her reporter friend, Beth. Cat goes to her bedroom to get Beth’s purse and finds a beast behind the curtain. Unfortunately it’s not Vincent, it’s Zach Hayes. He grabs Cat by the neck and demands to know where the beast hunter is. He is distracted by Beth’s voice and Cat manages to hit him. Zach is about to choke Cat when Beth comes in. Zach jumps out the window.

A shaken Beth gives her statement to a couple of uniforms that show up, but they don’t believe her. Cat refuses to back her story. Tess and Gabe arrive for some beast damage control. Gabe is adamant about not sharing the beast attack news with Vincent. Cat remembers she kicked the beast’s face, so there’s probably DNA traces on her boot. Gabe volunteers to bring the shoe to JT to have him analyze it.

Gabe goes to the gentleman’s club and tells JT that Cat was attacked by a beast. Vincent comes up behind him, surprising him since Gabe didn't know he was there. Vincent demands to know more and if Cat is okay. Gabe wants to handle it himself because they are all friends. JT points out that they're not friends and he wants to know if Cat is okay too. Vincent gets annoyed and runs to see Catherine.

Meanwhile, Beth instructs to her people to find something to corroborate her supernatural story. Catherine tries to convince Beth to hold the story until they have more facts. She tells Beth she is not a tabloid reporter and that she shouldn’t damage her reputation.

Vincent arrives at the apartment. Cat follows him to the beast-crime-scene, where Vincent has a series of tracking impressions of the beast attack. Vincent vows to never let this beast hurt Cat again and jumps out the window.

Vincent tracks Zach to a deserted church. Once they are face to face the beast recognizes Vincent. Vincent attacks Zach who doesn’t fight back and just keeps yelling that they are friends. Vincent has some flashbacks and stops beating the crap out of Zach. Reveling that he is, in fact, Vincent’s army buddy. However after a few drinks Zach decides to go into a jealous vendetta against him.

Cat and JT are at the Gentlemen’s Club when the beasts arrive looking pretty chummy. Vincent explains everything is OK, because the Zach is his friend. Zach explains that he was tracking the beast hunter but now he just wants to have some fun. Cat points out that she doesn't understand because he tried to kill her. Zach apologizes but Cat still doesn't believe him.

Cat complains to Tess about how quickly Vincent just forgave Zach.

Vincent, JT and Zach play pool at an army bar. Zach really pushes Vincent to remember things. He is obsessed with Vincent recovering one particular memory. He wants Vincent to remember someone called Gabriella. She was a girl with whom Vincent had a fling before deploying and that she fell in love with him. Vincent, confused asks about Alex, so JT explains they broke up before he went to war and that’s when Gabriella happened.

At the precinct, Agent Reynolds pays a visit to Gabe to ask about Cat’s attack. Gabe asks Bob to help him find Cat’s biological dad. Tess enters the office and tells them both that she found out Zach murdered a girl named Gabriella.

Back at the bar, Zach and Vincent have more bro-time, which puts JT on the outs. Zach keeps talking about Gabriella, Vincent remembers a few things and that’s when Zach reveals that Gabriella was actually his girl. Zach almost starts a beast brawl but JT stops them. JT assures Vincent that he didn’t know Gabriella was Zach’s girlfriend. Vincent decides to find Zach and make him understand.

Vincent calls Agent Reynolds who confirms that Zach is on the beast-kill-list and tells Vincent to kill Zach. Vincent wants to reason with Zach, but Bob tells Vincent that Cat is turning him soft. Vincent finds Zach. Vincent wants to settle the problem in a human way, instead of using their beast sides. However, Zach attacks Vincent and proclaims his plans to kill Cat.

Meanwhile at the reunion, the geeky mascot loves Cat and keeps following her. She is complaining about the current state of her life. Vincent shows up to take Cat to safety before Zach finds her. Vincent apologizes for ruining her night and she tells him it is not his fault. Cat admits she looked forward to this reunion, but she feels silly making a big deal about it when Vincent has to face much bigger issues. He looks at her pained.

Zach kills Ira and puts on his bear costume. He grabs Cat, Vincent attacks him, Westchester’s class of 2003 flees the scene. Zach breaks free of Vincent and goes for Cat but just before he reaches her Vincent jumps him and breaks his neck.

Beth approaches Gabe and Tess to ask about Zach was after Catherine. Gabe tells Beth that Zach probably had PTSD. Vincent approaches Cat makes sure she doesn’t have a concussion. He acknowledges all the sacrifices Cat has made for him and promises he will make it up to her once his missions are over. She thanks him for saving her life and he says having her in his life is preventing him from a beast downfall. They agree that they have to save each other. They kiss and decide it’s better if Vincent leaves the premises of the recent beast attack. He runs into Gabe in the hallway and they have a brief standoff.

Gabe approaches Cat and tries to sweet talk her. Cat shows Gabe some high school pictures. She finds a picture from her graduation and notices Agent Reynolds in the background. She comes to the conclusion that Agent Reynolds is her father.

Quotes[]

Catherine:Ten years ago, I thought I would be a lawyer, like my father. Married, with kids, Botox. And now, ten years later, I am in love with one beast, and I am running from another...so much for most likely to succeed.

Catherine: Girls only, no beasts.

Tess: Is that how you win friends and influence people?

JT: You gotta talk faster.

Tess: Go, have a life. Get your Ashanti on.

Tess: Oh and uh, by the way, if you want to have a shot with Cat, you might not want to go mano y mano with a beast. No, spare me your mock shock. Your feelings for her are pretty obvious.
Gabe: Ha. Ah. To Catherine too?
Tess: I don't know. Maybe.

Vincent: I should be thanking you. You know, Catherine, I saw what Zach was like, without Gabriella, ya know, who he'd become. Lost, alone. I know that's what I'd be like too, without you.
